MEDIA MINDED

One of my biggest interests is in studying how our entertainment shapes and conforms to our society. The push and pull, the give and take between what we enjoy and who we are is one of the major factors in determining both and effects most aspects of our lives. I've devoted a not insignificant portion of my free time to crafting articles concerning various cultural issues and developments which I post here.

I am also moving forwards with my Cartoon Conversations, a series of written essays where I analyze an often-overlooked medium of entertainment and art and how it works in conjunction with our society. After all, if this is the stuff we are willing to show to our kids, we should probably care about the quality and content of the material, no? Also because I love cartoons and have no other excuse to talk about them.
